Inwood is an upscale housing community located in far north-central San Antonio, Texas, USA.〔http://www.inwoodhoa.com/〕 Nestled in the wooded, hilly Texas Hill Country, Inwood saw rapid growth and housing construction during the early to mid-1990s. This growth coincided with the rapid growth of the city's North Side as a whole over the last 15 years. The neighborhood has been home to several famous people, including San Antonio Spurs Sean Elliott, Alvin Robertson, Doc Rivers, and Willie Anderson, as well as local radio personality Sonny Melendrez and Congressman Henry Bonilla (R-TX). Inwood resides in the Northside Independent School District. Elementary students attend Blattman Elementary School, middle school students attend William P. Hobby Middle School, and high school aged students attend Tom C. Clark H.S. However, many residents also attend private schools. Inwood is in a good central location inside the 1604 loop with close access to the Vineyard, Rim, and Huebner Oaks shopping centers. It is also close by to many of the best private schools in San Antonio for the people prefer higher and better education for their kids like The Montesorri School of San Antonio, San Antonio Christian School, TMI - The Episcopal School of Texas, St. George. Inwood keeps a green-colored theme and has an olympic-sized swimming pool and outdoor, full-court basketball facilities for its residents.
